Marcella Adamski, PhD, The Oral History Project

Marcella Adamnski, PhD, Clinical Psychologist and Executive Director of The Oral History Project, shared the story behind her title with us on December 9, 2018.

It’s not every day that His Holiness the Dalai Lama asks someone to spearhead a project, but when he does, the answer is yes. He asked Dr. Marcella Adamski to embark on a project and record the life stories of 304 Tibetan Elders. This Philadelphia born Clinical Psychologist, who’s provided therapy to survivors of torture from around the world, is now publishing a book that will compile these stories to preserve this important aspect of modern Tibetan history not known before.
