“In college I waited tables and it was the best training I’ve ever received to prepare me for the business world.”Jennifer Ernst
Jennifer Ernst, CEO & Co-Founder of Tivic Health, shared the story behind her title with us on Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Jennifer is a co-founder and has served as the Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Tivic Health Systems, Inc., a commercial-stage bioelectronic medicine company focused on treating diseases and conditions by modulating the electrical signals carried along various nerve pathways. They focus on non-invasive products that offer consumers a choice in the treatment of inflammation and related conditions.
Jennifer has also served as the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer of the U.S. subsidiary of Thin Film Electronics ASA. She worked for Xerox PARC for over 20 years, where she held multiple go-to-market roles, including as the Director of Business Development. Additionally, she served as a director of FlexTech Alliance, the U.S. national consortium for flexible and printed electronics, for three years, including one year as the Chair.
Jennifer earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University, and has been featured in Inc., The HealthCare Technology Report, and Thrive Global as a female leader who is shaking up things in the industry.
“Jennifer grew up as a “late in life” baby, the youngest of four, who spent a lot of time listening to the grownups talking. Her inquisitive nature early on in the area of math and science makes perfect sense today as she leads a company that is on the cutting edge of bioelectric medicine. Being a woman in STEM was never something Jennifer questioned or found a challenge as she continually moved up in her career and landed as an inevitable entrepreneur. “
